The FA Cup is BACK and we have selected two key games where we think there could be slip ups...
1 - Accrington Stanley v Derby
While Derby managed to turn over Premier League side, Southampton, we think they may struggle in this one. Stanley, who managed to upset Ipswich in the last round and any side going to the Crown Ground will be in for a battle, however, Accrington's only win in 2019 has come against the Tractor Boys. Derby's young guns have had a successful season in the Championship so far but have sometimes struggled in games against lower opposition. Will the likes of loan stars Wilson and Mount be able to perform on a poor pitch and a hostile atmosphere? It will certainly be a new experience for them and will be a good test of their character. It will also be a different type of test for Frank Lampard, so this will prove to be an exciting contest. Derby will be relying on the lower league experience from Jack Marriott and Richard Keogh who have come up through the leagues to guide them to the fifth round.
Prediction - Stanley 2-1 Derby
2 - Portsmouth v QPR
High flying Portsmouth would fancy themselves against most sides in the Championship, with them sitting at the top of League One and having knocked out high flying Norwich in the Third Round. QPR, without a win in 4 games will certainly be going into this game thinking an upset could be on the cards. Neither side has been in the FA Cup 5th Round for at least 9 years, so both sides will be looking to change their luck in the competition. Pompey manager Kenny Jacket will be relishing another test against this calibre of opposition, in preparation with their promotion bid this season.
Predictions - Portsmouth 3-1 QPR
